Shoe love...swooning over these Kenneth Cole shoes

I haven't done very well so far finding love with a good man.  But shoes? Those are so much easier!  But I've tried to keep my lust (which is really what it is) under control for the past few years. I've only bought shoes that I knew I'd wear, that I didn't already have 10 pairs of in a similar color (ie: black), and pairs that were reasonably priced.  So that means that I don't own any Jeffrey Campbell studded Litas.
Oh but today... As my sister, mother and I were about to leave Marshall's, I saw a pair of beautifully colored   sandals made of patent leather and suede. As I looked through the boxes, I hoped that they wouldn't have any in my size (10, which don't show up that often at discount places).  And then I looked at the last box -  my size. Ugh!  Now I HAD to try them on.  Here's what they looked like.

Kenneth Cole Reaction shoes, at Marshall's

Don't they look beautiful?  Don't my legs look long and graceful wearing these?  The picture definitely doesn't do the color justice. They're a deep wine color, with gold rings connecting each strap across the top of the foot.
Logically, I know I don't need them (although I don't have any in this color).  I wouldn't wear them every day, or even every week right now.  And that makes it hard to justify spending $40.00 on them (although that's actually a pretty good price).  But I keep thinking of them.  Lusting for them. I think I know why, too. Right now I weigh the most I've ever weighed in my life.  I try to exercise, I don't eat very much, and yet, nothing changes.  I don't like the way I look.  But I love the way my legs look with these shoes on.  Just like I love the way my face looks when it's made up nicely.  And my hair when it's healthy and shiny. These are the ONLY things that I can truly be proud of right now, and sometimes, the only things I feel like I have control over.  I don't know if that's why all women lust after shoes, but right now, it's why I do. And it's why I keep telling everyone I know on Facebook what a nice gift these would make for my birthday next week.  Only $40.00, size 10, don't know the style name but they're the only beautiful burgundy/wine shoes there.  Time to sleep now, and dream.... Maybe next week on my birthday, I'll wake up to find a gift that I really like for the first time in many years.
So why do you buy shoes?

    1. Your comments are making me think more about it. My problem is that I have no income right now, which is why I was hoping for a gift. If I do get them I'll post more pictures. Thanks for the reassuring feedback!

    1. Thank you! Yes, they do make the legs look very nice and they are beautiful themselves. Sometimes I think shoes are like works of art. I suspect you'd agree.

  3. I've been wanting a pair of these. Can you tell me what the sku or model number is?

  4. The name is Daze Shock, and the sku is 8 29444 42158 1. There is one other number on the label - LR10806PU. I looked on Zappos and on Kenneth Cole's web site and didn't see them. Maybe Macy's, Nordstrom, Marshalls or Loehmann's might have them. Good luck!

  5. I just bought these at the Marshalls near me on clearance for $26.00 I always wear a 6 1/2 or 7, but took a 6 in these; they run big. But they are gourgeous!

  6. I'm envious! You got them at a great price (I guess I don't need to be envious since I got them for a gift). They disappeared from the Marshall's near me very quickly. No chance for clearance. But I'm glad that you got a pair. They are gorgeous.
