How to create a quick updo

Perfectly neat, polished updo's are OUT (although if it was done well I don't think it would garner much criticism).  What I read says that slightly "undone" updos are IN. If that's the case, I have 3 steps to a quick, attractive, but not perfect updo.
Step 1 - Gather your hair in the back as if you're going to put it in a ponytail.

Step 2 - Start twisting the hair you're holding upward, like it's going straight up the back of your head

Step 3 - Hold it in place with one hand, and with the other clip the ends to the top of your head with a decorative clip.  You can tuck the ends under the clip or leave them out for a more messy, undone look.

That's it - your hair should look like this from the back:

I usually pull the front down so I have some long bangs hanging in my face.  I think it looks sexier that way, but that's a personal preference.
This tutorial goes with the one below about getting glammed up for an Oscar party with friends.

Eyes like a model

I saw this photo in a magazine and loved the way she looked.  I've never put a thick line of shadow under my eyes, so I used this as inspiration to try it myself.  It was surprisingly quick to do.
List of products used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion
MAC Newly Minted shadow
MAC Tealo pencil liner
L'Oreal Voluminous false fiber mascara
MAC Full Fuschia lipstick

After the primer dried on my eyes, I put MAC's Newly Minted on my upper eye lids.

Next I lined my eyes top and bottom with Tealo pencil liner.
Then I used a flat brush to put the eye shadow over the liner on the bottom of my eyes.  I spread it down to be the same width as the one in the magazine.
This was the only shadow that I used.  Next I put mascara on upper and lower lashes, and put a little bit of black liner inside my lower eyelid (which I forgot to to take a photo of).

The last step was to put fuschia lipstick on.

I couldn't dye my hair brown, so this was as close as I could get to looking like the model.  Here's a close-up of the finished eye
And here's a few photos of the complete finished look.  I always thought that smudging so much make-up below my eye would make me look like I slept with my make-up on, so I was surprised that it looked so great.  It's a look that I'll be incorporating into my daily make-up looks.

Photos from Fashion Week shows

Check out my Fashion page for some photos from last week's shows in New York, and a dress that some are calling "the miracle dress".

False eyelash glam

False eyelashes are a lot of fun.  The ones that I'm wearing in these photos are just crazy cool.  Make Up For Ever has a good selection of crazy ones as well as every day ones.  Sephora has some of them in their stores, and even more online.  If you're not interested in the crazy kind, you can buy the every day ones just to enhance your own lashes.  If you've never tried them, I think you'll be surprised at how great they make you look.
If you've tried the individual lashes and didn't like them, give the full strip ones a try.  All you have to do is put the adhesive in a thin line on the edge of the lash strip, and press them onto your eye lid right above the lash line.  Hold them there for a few seconds so the adhesive dries to a tacky texture.  I find this type easier to put on than the individual ones, which seem to stick to everything but my eyelid, but maybe that's just me.
I put all of my eye make-up on first (including mascara) and if I need to, I do touch-ups afterwards.  Then you go out and watch everyone stare at your amazing eyes.
