Review of KISS false eyelash starter kit

Back in October I got a box of sample products from the web site Influenster.  They were mostly beauty products, and mostly really good products.  One exception was a set of false lashes.  They came in a starter kit which included lash adhesive and a tool to hold them instead of using your fingers.  The tool worked well, actually better than one that I'd bought at Sephora years ago.  The lash adhesive seemed fine, but the lashes themselves were a bit disappointing.  They were very obviously false, and didn't fit the length of my eye.

This was the first eye that I put them on, and as you can see, they weren't long enough to cover my eye.  I also had a hard time getting the inner corner to stay put.  They kept coming off and going straight across.  It seemed that they didn't want to curve to fit the shape of my eye.

On the second eye I positioned them more in the middle of my eye, which looked a little better.  Still, the fact that they weren't long enough would prevent me from wearing them out in public.

Since I already had them on, I decided to see if putting eyeshadow and liner on would make them look better.  The photo below shows how it looked after I added that and some lipstick.  I'll show you how to do the look in an upcoming post.

  1. I need to give false eye lashes a try. I have a half lash pair for my first 'try', but have yet to but them on.

    1. I've tried other brands and they looked much better than the ones from KISS. They look so nice, but for me they're such a pain to put on. The glue always gets on my fingers and then the lashes stick to my fingers instead of my eye! I'm sure practice would make it much easier.

  2. I love falses, the trick is to wear them everyday until putting them on comes natural. I'm following, visit and follow at http://lilyseymour.com, thanks!

    1. Thanks, Lily! I'm following you now, too. I should take your advice on the false lashes. They do look so nice.
