Tired of winter weather yet? Personally I'd be happy if it were autumn for 9 months, spring for 2, and summer for one. Unless I could go back to living in Southern California. The weather there was pretty much perfect for me because the humidity is so low. I hate winter, but I do like cool weather (not cold, cool). Wondering why I'm babbling about the weather? I'm getting to the point, I promise. The point is that I like to be able to wear lots of clothes and boots. Cool weather means that you get to wear hats, scarves, jackets, coats, big cozy sweaters and boots of all kinds. In case you're not as inspired as me, I'm posting photos of some of my favorite winter accessories. I never really thought about these things as accessories, but IFB did, and made a project out of them (click

A regular bucket hat looks good and keeps my hair dry when it's snowing or raining
A beret has always been one of my favorite types of hat - no hat head. I also love this fuzzy black scarf.
Then there are boots. I LOVE boots. These are just a few of my favorites. There are many more.
My Mudd suede and shearling boots |
One of my favorite pairs of boots are these suede ones from Blowfish. Great tread for winter weather |
Doc Marten's - my go to when it's wet and slippery outside |
I absolutely LOVE these BCBG boots, as long as I don't need tread |
I have a nice wool coat for my every day wear, but I thought I'd include a photo of my fantasy coat.
I would love to have this faux fur coat - style and warmth! I can picture it on me and it looks great. |
Last, gloves (no mittens). Some day I'm going to get leather elbow-length gloves. Preferably in purple or red.
I have a few pairs of gloves, but my favorites are these leather ones with a fur cuff that my sister bought me years ago |
What are your favorite accessories for winter? Do you stick with one or two reliable items or do you change it up each day?
Sadly, I only have a few accessories for winter. I do enjoy layering my clothes more in winter, though! I like gloves, scarves and hats more.
ReplyDeleteAmazing faux fur coat :o
Maxens,
DeleteI know about the coat - wouldn't it be nice to have? Why do you only have a few winter accessories? If it's a money issue, you should try the thrift store route. I've gotten so many good things from there this fall. Also discount stores are great. I'm not sure what you have there, but I go to Marshall's, Loehmann's and Nordstrom Rack a lot.
