I've been absent, but more posts are on the way!

If I follow a blog and they don't do any new posts for several weeks, I usually stop checking it.  So I worry that I'm going to lose readers because I haven't been posting much lately.  Part of this is because I got a new computer and haven't a) gotten good at working on it, and b) haven't installed Photoshop yet. Also my father was diagnosed with cancer this winter, which required some major surgery.  That got most of the cancer, but not all of it. This month he discovered that already it has grown and spread pretty extensively.  He is getting treated at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, which is an excellent place, but it's also a worse-case scenario.  That has made me depressed so I don't always feel like writing.  It's also made me very introspective about my life, what I'm doing, what I should be doing, etc.  and it reminds me of my own cancer in 2007.  There's nothing like the possibility of a terminal illness to make you evaluate if you're doing what you want to do with your life. Lots to mull over.
But too much thinking can be bad, so I'm going to spend more time posting.  I've tried new skincare that I love and want to write about, found some new brands of clothing that I like, found lots of web sites that I like shopping on, found some super comfy pajamas, some great shoes, and as usual have lots of make-up to try out.
So check back often.  I'll be here.

  1. Take care of your Dad and yourself emotionally, we'll still be here!

  2. No worries! We all get busy, life events happen, and blogs are mostly just a hobby for most people (well, for me at least).

I follow you on bloglovin' so when a post pops up .. I'll read it .. :-)

  3. Thanks both of you. I just don't want people to think that this is an inactive blog. Unfortunately my Dad lives about 800 miles away, so I can't see him often. Yet another reason to keep myself busy with other things.
